ShineForms

EICR Software

Shine Forms is EICR software for producing Electrical Installation Condition Reports: the inspection schedule, the classification codes, the observations, and the finished PDF, all in one place, with BS 7671 checking your values as you go.

Built for the condition report, not just a blank form

An EICR is a lot more than a certificate number and a signature. It's a full inspection schedule, coded observations tied back to specific items, and a report that has to make sense to whoever reads it next. Shine Forms is built around that workflow.

  • Automatic observations against schedule items. Code an inspection schedule item C1, C2, C3 or FI and Shine Forms creates the linked observation for you — and removes it again if you change the coding. You can work with the observation directly from the inspection schedule.
  • Comment directly against schedule items, and choose not to print items that don't apply to the installation, so the issued report shows what was actually inspected.
  • Board Manager gives you central control of every board and circuit on the certificate, instead of working through boards one at a time.
  • Copy a certificate to a different certificate type — turn an EICR into an EIC, for example — without re-entering the boards and circuits you've already recorded.
  • Export boards, circuits and observations to Excel whenever you need the data outside the certificate itself.

Every value checked against BS 7671

Some EICR software is a digital form and nothing more — type in a value, it prints a value. Shine Forms checks what you enter against BS 7671 as you work, so an engineer two weeks into the job and one with twenty years behind them apply the regulations the same way. The regulation checks come from BS 7671 itself, verified by someone who helps write it, not from a general-purpose AI trained on whatever the internet happens to say about wiring regulations.

That matters for the transition to Amendment 4. When the regulations change, Shine Forms changes with them — switch a job to Amendment 4 and the checks switch with it, so you're not relying on old Brown Book figures slipping through on a report your client expects to be current. Desktop and tablet

Complete an EICR at the office on a Windows desktop, or on site on a tablet — Shine Forms runs on Windows, iPad and Android. Use whichever fits how your team already works, or move between the two on the same certificate.

If you also produce fire alarm certificates under BS 5839 or emergency lighting certificates under BS 5266, both are included in Premium — see ourfire alarm certificate softwareandemergency lighting certificate softwarepages.
