Minor Works Certificate Software

Shine Forms is minor works certificate software built around the job most Minor Works Certificates actually follow: an alteration or addition to an installation you or a colleague already certified. Pull the existing circuits in instead of typing them out again.

Built for speed, because most Minor Works are small

Retyping board and circuit details you've already recorded on an earlier EIC or EICR is the part of a Minor Works Certificate that wastes the most time relative to the size of the job. Shine Forms removes that step.

  • Create a Minor Works Certificate from existing EIC or EICR circuits. Point Shine Forms at the installation's boards and circuits already on file and start the new certificate from there, rather than from a blank one.
  • Copy boards and circuits directly, complete with the details of the circuit you're altering or extending, rather than reading them off a previous PDF and keying them in by hand.
  • Board Manager for central control of every board on the certificate, useful the moment a "minor" job touches more than one board.
  • Copy a certificate to a different certificate type if a job that started as a Minor Works turns out to need a full EIC instead — the boards and circuits carry across.

Checked against BS 7671, even on a small job

A Minor Works Certificate is still a certificate, and speed shouldn't come at the cost of checking. Shine Forms checks what you enter against BS 7671 as you work — the same regulation intelligence used across EICs and EICRs applies to the circuit you're altering, so a wrongly sized cable or a Zs reading outside the maximum for that circuit still gets flagged.

The checks come from BS 7671 itself, verified by someone who helps write it, and they update as the regulations do, including the move to Amendment 4. Read more abouthow regulation intelligence works.

Desktop and tablet

Minor Works jobs are exactly the kind of small, on-site work a tablet suits best — Shine Forms runs on Windows, iPad and Android, so you can pull up the existing circuits and finish the certificate on site, or do it back at the office on a desktop if that's how your team prefers to work.
