<p>This release of Shine Forms (version 2025.5) brings our fire alarm certificates up to date with BS 5839-1:2025.</p>

**Updates 22 & 28 September, 30 October, 2025:** various updates and fixes available.  See below for details.

# EIC comments on the installation

We have moved the EIC comments on the installation to under the schedule of inspections.  This makes it more closely aligned with model forms.

# Improved send PDF by email

We have improved the send PDF by email feature to be more compatible with the different email setups on a variety of machines.

# Other fixes

Other fixes available in this version include:

- Change: moved 2022 electrical certs down in the Home Screen.
- Change: removed unused observations/limitations from the EIC schedule page.

- Fix: could not send log files when no licence was present.
- Fix: save button in print-preview now saves in PDF format.

# Update 22 September 2025 (2025.5.1779)

### Improved Error Reporting

Shine Forms' error dialog now attaches the error report when emailing details to Shine Support.

### Fire Alarm Inspection & Servicing 2025

For this form, we have made the following changes:

- Change: added an occupier name.
- Change: added an options dialog.
- Change: improved the layout of the columns in the data entry sections.
- Change: added quarterly inspection of vented batteries.
- Change: removed manual call points are conspicuous.

- Fix: company address was appearing twice.

### General changes and fixes

- Change: preview now completes the report generation before changing pages.

- Fix: September dates were displaying as Sept and causing clipping.
- Fix: blank PDF were created from the new save and send by email buttons in Print Preview.
- Fix: splash screen could appear away from the main form.
- Fix: print preview status bar zoom controls were disabled.
- Fix: Home Screen wasn't showing the status column for EICR 2024.

# Update 28 September 2025 (2025.5.1784)

- Change: improved file & folder locking during backup operations.

### Fire Alarm Inspection & Servicing 2025

- Change: can now copy fire alarm inspection & servicing 2025 certs.
- Change: removed certificate number field from the data entry screen (now only in options dialog).
- Change: "INSPECTION DETAILS" title in data entry changed to "SUMMARY OF THE INSPECTION AND SERVICING"
- Change: added missing details from the summary of the inspection and servicing section.
 
- Fix: the print preview wasn't showing updates after changes were made (introduced in 2025.5.1779).
- Fix: company and association logos are limited in height.

# Update 30 October 2025 (2025.5.1787)

- Fix: on-site guidance missing cb/RCBO cases and 88-2/60269-2 and 88-3 line corrections.
- Fix: board Zs field was clipping values.
- Fix: removed "trail version" watermark from Word and PDF attachments.
