We recommend a system with at least the following specifications:

* An i3 or equivalent processor
* 2GB of RAM
* A solid-state hard disk (SSD)

If you regularly work on large jobs with tens or hundreds of boards then we suggest you increase that to the following:

* An i5 or equivalent processor
* 4GB of RAM
* A solid-state hard disk (SSD)

# Shine Forms recommends Dell laptops

No, we aren't being sponsored buy Dell!  But, our experience of using Dell machines has shown us that they are:

- Physically well constructed (which can matter if you're taking them around in the van and using them on site).
- They perform well. 
- They have great support packages available which can help keep your business running.
- They are competively priced.

At time of writing, we would recommend this for anyone who doesn't regularly do jobs with multiple hundreds of boards:
