# What are split boards?

This article shows how to use Shine Forms to report all the RCD equipment for boards with multiple RCDs, also known as "split boards".

Here's an example of a dual board that you can pick up from our friends at [City Electrical Factors in the UK](https://www.cef.co.uk/catalogue/products/4888539-10-way-dual-80a-type-a-rcd-high-integrity-metal-clad-consumer-unit-with-8-x-mcbs):

# What is the problem?

When you enter the circuit details into Shine Forms, it can look like there is only one RCD.

At this point, Shine Forms does not have any information to help it report that there are two RCDs present.

# Remarks to the rescue!

The model forms have sections to record [remarks against circuits](https://www.shineforms.co.uk/docs/boards-and-circuits#circuit-remarks). We can use those to report on the different RCDs.

To do that, click on **Show Remarks** in the ribbon, select the first circuit, then record which circuits that the RCD protects:

Repeat this for the second RCD and Shine Forms will then report those in the relevant section in the PDF:
