Windows has a [built-in antivirus](https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows/comprehensive-security), but it is common for people to use third-party security software too.

We recommend using the built-in [Microsoft Defender for Windows](https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows/comprehensive-security).  This is what we use ourselves, making it less likely to falsely detect a virus in your Shine Forms files.

Sometimes, third-party software can incorrectly detect Shine Forms or our data files as a threat and delete or block them from running.

To fix that, exclude the following folder from your antivirus software:

%AppData%\Roaming\Pirform\Pirform\
```

Also exclude the following process:

```text
pirform.exe
```
